Prayables Week of April 8, 2017
Dear God, I am thankful for your faithfulness and provision. I don’t always like learning the painful truths, and too many times I don’t understand why things happen the way they do. But I can always say with absolute certainty, You are with me every step of the way. Your presence is more than enough to get me through it all. Amen
Prayer for My Marriage
Lord, You reveal Your deep and never-failing love for us through our marriage, and we’re thankful. I come to You weak and dependent, needing Your strength to keep my marriage vows.
“I take you to be my husband”
Lord, I trust that my husband was Your divine choice from the moment I said “I do”. I embrace him fully as Your will for my life.
“To have and to hold from this day forward”
Help the two of us create a marriage that is full of joy, oneness, and the reflection of You. Help me to reach out to him with touches that are filled with love.
“For better, for worse”
God, I need Your perfect love, perseverance, and hope for the bad days. Give me the strength to cling to You, the Rock, when our marriage is shaky.
“For richer, for poorer”
Provider God, my husband and I look to You for our provision. Help us to be true teammates when financial worries hit.
“In sickness and in health”
Give me gentleness, patience and grace when my husband is sick. Sustain me through long illnesses because I can’t do it without Your strength.
“To love and to cherish”
Open my eyes every day to the positive attributes of my husband and let love cover his flaws.
“Until death do us part”
When the day is long and the irritations are many, help me to hold fast to the beauty of growing old together.
“This is my solemn vow”
Lord, I have faith in You to guide my way. To keep me safe and secure. To put me on right pathways. To show me how to handle adversity and overcome obstacles. You provide for my every need and I thank You. Amen
Today my forest is dark. The trees are sad and the butterflies have broken wings. Lord, bring light. May it be Your will to lift me from the depression that overwhelms me.
Like a bird who sings to celebrate the break of day, I sing a song of praise to You Lord, as I celebrate a new season of my spiritual awareness.
Let our friendships be strong, dear God, that they become a blessing to others. Let our friendships be open, dear God, that they may be a haven for others. Let our friendships be gentle, dear God, that they may bring peace to others.
